Come to the Feast!

Merry Christmas! Jesus is born, yet already on the first Sunday after Christmas we see him at twelve! Read or listen to the sermon on Luke 2:41-52 then comment on a thought question or two.

  • How far would be willing to travel to church? I grew up with a 10-15 minute commute to church through the suburbs of Minneapolis. Members of our church travel upwards of 45 minutes.

  • What does it mean to be about the Father's business?

  • Even though Luke records when the feast was ended, can you think of a scenario where Jesus should be surprised that his parents left?

  • Jesus is only twelve. How was he actively saving the world from their sins at that young age?

Join us New Year's Eve at 5 PM for a review of the Church year as we see Christ as our King!

God's Christmas Card To You

It's Christmas week! Christmas cards are more than just a "well wish" one a year. They are a chance to hear from friends that we haven't heard from, but miss desperately. Unfortunately for many, that's what the Christmas services turn into too. God's one chance a year to connect to those he loved so much he crossed eternity and put on flesh to show us his love. He proved that love by going to the cross so that we might live forever! Check out Sunday's sermon. Why not take a listen?

As you read or listen consider these questions:

  • What's your favorite part about Christmas? The cards, the songs, the decoration, something else?
  • Could you imagine any reason why someone would want to have their baby in a barn?
  • Why shouldn't it surprise us that the woman's clothes shine like the sun?
  • What does the crown on her head mean?
  • What do the crowns and horns on the dragon's heads mean?
  • Comment - the devil is powerless to do harm to the woman.
  • Comment - Instead of Nativities, we should put the image of Revelation 12 on our post cards.
  • Comment - I can take comfort that I'm living in the Last Days because...
We'll see you 5 PM Thursday for Christmas Eve Worship!

Merry Christmas!

Servants of Christ

The Advent season is upon us! Please take a quick read of my sermon from worship this Sunday. Consider these questions?
  • What does it mean to you to be faithful?
  • Should we "care very little" about what others think about our faith?
  • How would you explain the "secret things of God" to a friend who didn't know Jesus?
  • Your comments or questions...
